Ali Al Andal – A not Completed Departure

Ali will remain and his departure is not completed; he left for us a poem to eternalize him, and written for thousand times on the body of this nation, and his poem  will continue to  induce the  memory  flashes to emphasizes the enormity of the event and the poetic image  fantasies that thickens connotations and reproduction vision.

 The early departure for poets and writers remains as a station worthy of attention and meditation . Ali Al Andal actual poetic experience is not a completed media and cognitive luster in the Cultural Square of the UAE, so he is joining the double poetic scene that disclosed in part and to hide behind an innovative but non-completed literary project. All that related to many reasons.

  Ali Al Andal one   important evidence that the spectacular mechanism that fail to highlight the creators in all the national innovation hubs, is striking in this move, it also exposes the shortcoming institutions on Culture and Literature, for example, did not try the exploration and research and celebrate the creative and early departed project that could be a version or a book about his life and his biography but not a tribute to him.   It is at least a documented memory of the nation and the continued revival of its conscious heart beats and flowing creativity in the language of arts, poetry and literature.

 The importance of Ali Al Andal in his   poetry, discovered only by his fans and his friends. He was affected by poets embodied his condition throughout the Arab world, and died desperate expelled from the grace of social recognition and favor, like the life of the human beings, and his poetry  remains an example of a bolder approach and outlook on life and for the people and the homeland.  He dared in singling out his frank opinion without equivocation, not paying attention to conditions or considerations or fear. He has emerged with a self-frustrating, and cruelty abroad scorching sway, as if he was waiting for an early departure to color the poetry ideas of despair, and drawing a gloomy picture about the human isolation, and draw a unique picture of the agony and pain with the impossibility of salvation, and blending the same poetic philosophical  with sophism  as answer  at the question of eternal life . A closer look at the Donkey Association statement issued in 1983 when he was a student at the university, we recognize the depth of his vision when still a young man at the beginning of the journey to completion, to the last of those views which also includes philosophical vision of life for the people and their movement in everyday society. This is an important key to understanding the poet at the beginning of the existential concern and the creative stage. It may be a gateway to understand some of the visions that sent his  poetry a little left, and most importantly as a gateway to read the prose Al Andal left behind,   which is very important to understand some of his ideas, and how he thinks like the script (the cemetery Messages for Professor Faraj) and (Dr. ripping   advice), and we'll see where the deep philosophy encircled by the same worried questions of existence, as well as the conquering society, which does not open his horizons to reconcile with him or  let Al Andal reconcile with itself or with the community where  he lives.

 Here lies the-focusing adopted by his poetry in our hands.  He carefully considers some of the texts he left for us, we shall discover a lot of these psychological idling where  Al Andal was stuck out in the face of isolation and cruelty of life around him, although he did not give up so will never.

When considering the poem (the body skin .. and the Lion) and ( The Red  Destiny ) we notice that he relied on the   deliberately missed lattice, because his vocabulary have chosen the bleak colors  as  he wanted revolving around his experience of poetry, and we'll see how much the vocabulary  is integrated with the situation .. suffering, cemetery ,body , fear haunted me , night serpents haunt me , cry thirsty, low profile , eroding , fall , autumn , rotten , flies , curses ,   ruin ,  skulls , freak , Crow . This  amount of  vocabularies about  state of fear, hatred and isolation nominated by the first poem (the Body skin and the Lion  ) gave a clear image of his real feelings .  We find the same quality of vocabulary that weaves them revealing the situation as follows:

First: fear of the unknown: this reading in  the  poems of Ali  Al Andal  is not an  interpretation, but the approach of featuring his experience  with a clear language and  direct  expression   on the state he wishes to have it photographed   without linguistic  quirks  or  intellectual ambiguity l .. and therefore we  see that the fear either comes from the unknown, associated with the philosophy of the universe and the existence or reality of  his environment , which is already  experienced by Al Andal  the human , and he became a witness , and wrote a poetry and  letters in the (Body Skin and the Lion) poem:

  «Demon haunted me

Fear to take me. »

While in his poem (The red destiny):

« Pots and rust haunt me...

Sows terror in my heart ... do not dare to face

 I am drawing

 For long ».

While the frame cause fear when he sees the gallows that awaits him at the end of the journey, the inevitable symbolic gallows. It means the fear not only for himself, but everyone, gallows because he ruined his philosophy of mystical-initiated in the previous section of ruin exist:

« Existential destruction

  Devastation surrounding the human beings in the end will lead him.

As the neck tie for me is not an honorable departure, because it is the next format. It constitutes the inevitable end of what is coming, no doubt, but what form? And why it is inevitable?  Why Al Andal sees himself a target in the heart of  event, targeting has not come to term with the community or with self-first.. Sees himself the target of an attack, imagined and stressing his belief, he sees himself as a victim believes even for children who will grow up will be targeted. The children here certainly a symbol of young around him will become giants and grow up, perhaps the mechanism of new society and the community life in which we grow up just like a climbing plants, without roots. But suddenly thrives to invade and attack all its environment. 

 «Gallows rope

It became a source of fear

Skin hair raised,

I am ready to leave.

 Expecting the advent of paralysis. »

The poet is afraid but not of death as it is the synonym of departure         because it is following him:

«Children have long fingernails,

Tomorrow they grow up

They too are allowed to eat my flesh. 

If he was afraid or expecting death, he would not have given another ugly image waiting his future showing those who are younger than him taller than him and they grow up and are ready to oppress him.

But what kind of fear is this  , what is its nature, what it might be?      It is the fear of the unknown surrounding himself, as he became a victim of imaginations created by self-isolation, so he surrounded himself by a wall of fear that lurking him everywhere around him.  That was relevant because he lost the confidence with the world around him   and became afraid of it:

 The evenings give birth to future disappointments 

It goes

The Cell is in your heart

Manacles are boiling in head.

Second:  Reclusion:

It is the prevailing feature in his poem to be under study. It seems that isolation comes to Al Andal in advanced lamentation, perhaps linked to his personality before that showed super attendance in silence and non-compromise. Reclusion and isolation are the disease the new cities that hit the human and disturbed his balance and made him lose his intimates even with the same relations. That was translated by     literature and pictured by poetry. If Al Andal had highlighted this isolation deliberately in these poems, but he also justified the reason for us about this isolation as he did in the following image in his poem (the Body Skin  and the lion):

To fear he is guiding me

He has fallen out of time

And my small mirror in my hand

He lived in reclusion with himself. The self is the mirror broken to pieces, goes in isolation to the far corner of life.

In another image he confirms that he does have the right to have a place as if the storming   isolation kept him out spatially and psychologically, and mixture of physical and psychological images. This      deliberate confusion gave a prominent picture of the meaning of isolation which identified ably measuring the moral deliver to the isolation of the spirit and the soul and alienation.

  The nowhere shelter

Has written the letters of my youth years

I was crawling   Then running

He was telling us the story long time ago, and he started his life isolated with on shelter to protect him. Despite the simplicity of image, many question rush up such as justice and equity. They are the keys to other bigger questions, represented an accusation to man and the place since the early beginnings of life on earth. In the same poem many spectacles of isolation can be noticed as:

A lone I am

Just like the cat “ Ghazila”

She has taken her language

And left me as a mute

Watching the emptiness

Turning me to bare bones

 If we study  this overlap between his case by linking himself  as an foreigner animal single and isolated (Cat) as if he is  consoling himself of  being  the same the cat unparalleled  existence not human beings, like unique one in isolation  not only his cat that cannot even communicate with him, for lack of a common language.   Beautiful image that likened the animal (cat) as a human being in his attempt to unite with her to get out of his isolation, but collided with the impossibility of it, and became as a mute which monitors the vacuum that delivered him to the bare bones, and the vacuum betrayed him to the emptiness. Here is   the eloquence of intent and the image. Al Andal is always capable to connect sensuous and material image together, trying the embodiment of the emptiness of soul and the self-ruin.
