Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) will organise a workshop by FIAP President Riccardo Busi on 2 November at Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi, on how to evaluate photography.
The workshop will include theoretical lectures and practical exercises on how to select winning photographs in international competitions based on standards such as variation, innovation and uniqueness.
Mr. Busi will explore how to combine both nature and wildlife in photography, the laws adopted by international trade fairs, and will also discuss how to analyse photographs and define their purpose.
The workshop aims to enrich the educational and creative sides of professional photographers and photography enthusiasts. It aims to develop the visual taste of those interested in photography by learning more about aesthetic configurations in photography using modern and professional techniques. The workshop will highlight the various aspects of photography and also provide insights for photographers who are preparing to take part in international competitions.
Mr. Busi will also present a general lecture on FIAP and highlight relevant aspects of photography, such as how to participate in international competitions, creating a personal portfolio, themes for printed photographs, tittles and other aspects related to this international art.
FIAP comprises more than 85 national associations in five continents and represents nearly one million individual photographers globally.
