The Stable and the Changeable in the narrative intention for Ali Abu Rish

Ali Abu Rish occupies a front place in the UAE narrative field.  This status goes back to many factors that helped him to be a writer. We do not mention the UAE's novel in a forum or a study, in a seminar or an interview or criticism conversation, local or Arabic, without Ali Abu Rish presence and participation. Among these factors, his abundant production as a novelist and a writer, and the continuity of his project, while seeking to expand and review, at a time when the same fellow novelists seem short, no more than the novel or the two in most part, to stop then or make subsequent projects .

Another related factor is the   novelist completed narrative issuance     with data and intellectual and artistic basic psychology, with keen vision on the diversification in perspective, and the modalities of their world.

Perhaps the most striking features of the world of novelist reflected in these binaries; including  the city and the desert that offers us always a contradiction image , which figures  the globalization  victims of such bilateral  climate ,the person is not able to integrate in to the world of  desert  , nor  he is able to accommodate with the city atmosphere as you decided  to storm it . In the end he pays an expensive price for his innocence and non- awareness. There is bilateral sort of class dissemination between the haves and have nots, or the rich and hardworking people. It was the second  contradiction story leading to the narrative atmosphere, make it the fate of the tragic figures of objects, retreating and  falling, but they  lost one  or two figure to raise the banner of revolt against the tyranny of the ship owner, to get their rights and the human justice.

There is a clear shift between the work of the stage where  he issued novels such as:  The Confession ,The  Sword and The Flower ,   The Ashes of Blood, Madness   Window, and the  Idol Hill which represented the first phase in our consideration , and the novels of phase shift initiated by Salayem, and bilateral Mejbel bin Shahwan, and the spirit Duality, the Stone and the Statue,  Zena the Queen, and the Love Triangle, Water and Soil, and the Room number 357, and the novel Fleeing from the lion, and other actions that we believe it represent a quantum leap and indicate inaugurated a new phase.

Perhaps the most striking aspects of the transition, is the novelist's ability to purify his language, which was dominated by manifestations of hybridization, made it sometimes combines azimuth and appearances of dramatic (theater). The novelist later succeeded to develop  the  language   condensation and poetry and tried to adapt depending on the various dimensions of his characters , with the relaxation of mutual dialogues between the characters, just get rid of the one-dimensional dominant of the narrator in the form of the use of  he sometimes and me another time, to witness the later mobility between the  narrative  conscience and perspective within the same work, in line with the evolution of the narrative structure and logic of the development of events in which, differing personalities .

It is true that the presence of women in the novels of the writer has been as early as the first of his novels, and his voice was biased to defend their rights, either she was a wife, a mother, a sister and a human being. Above all, the subsequent work of the novelist had given the woman revolting roles through colors of a challenge to the manifestations of injustice and exploitation, shifting woman into the top ranks, and not just support and inspiration.

As it became clear that novelist is keen to choose the  introductory entrance capable of capturing the imagination of the reader from the very first words, particularly in the second stage of the evolution of his career as novelist, we have found  novelist tendency  at this stage to surpass his previous attempts to seize his narrative thread to reach the planned end and   filling the gaps, without leaving any opportunity to the recipient to  share him in the proposal and meditation, narrowing the extent of expectation  , and limits the horizon waiting for him. It is in the novels of the second phase, he has broadened whiteness and blanks space, and the tendency in some to leave the endings open, as he trust the receiver role in the rebuilding of the text and propose interpretive reading, in light of the growth narrative structure, and areas of light and dark, and questioning the silent, lifting the codes of mysterious for him. Besides the success of the novelist to give in symbols and signs for suggestive energies, would deepen the integration of the reader with the novelist speech horizon, and improves his dynamics and richness. We notice, for example, when the   novelist  gives the desert symbol  of  purity and innocence, wisdom and virginity place, as we observe in some animals giving  positive energy as cats and dogs, or describing  the city to be a place of wandering and loss, and  crushing of the human person and his spirit, in stages from the evolution of his narrative march , or in dealing with the theme of infertility in more than work for him, and gives dimension suggestively looked where this event is like an expression   about the futility of family relationships and the arrival of the relationship between men and women to a standstill, in an attempt to make the door open to the personal search for new horizons and embrace hoped and the wish of self to reach.

  Ali Abu Rish is one among few Emiratis and Arab novelists who have a   human feelings, and considers the human being as a supreme value, regardless of the distinguishing marks and features, sex, race and belief.  That was a reason for him to give wide space in his texts a number of disabled characters to play a clear role.  In two works he gave them  the stardom role, in: (Insanity window) and  (The Idol Collin ) and other figures high in a number of his novels, as well as to make room in these texts for types of animals, some of which form a supreme value, while some of them had a symbolic job.

In terms of figures provided by the novelist Ali Abu Rish, we easily noticed   bilateral duality that controlling them: in despots and oppressed  , the pure and impure, weak and strong, naïve and intelligent, with a narrow transitions space taking place in the lives of these characters and  their evolution .

 The Novelist total works did not prevent the issuance of a bulk of the narrative for critical position to social relations, community and culture in which the characters live. So we found in most of the work, he goes to shake up the structure of prevailing values in an attempt to triumph for the values of the culture of enlightenment and promote fair human rights and the values of human liberation, even though the movement of those figures seemed strange bold and consistent with the moral pattern of community prevailing culture.
